COMPETITION THEME 2025: SUSHI RESTAURANT OF THE FUTURE! (SINGAPORE EDITION)

In partnership with Sakae Sushi, kids will:

– Build: Design a futuristic sushi restaurant in Minecraft with robot chefs and conveyor-belt dining.
– Invent: Create a new sushi concept (e.g., Glow Roll, Pixel Nigiri, Eco-Maki) using in-game builds plus a short write-up.
– Win: Attractive prizes and Sakae Sushi chefs will pick the winning idea, which could appear on the real restaurant menu as a limited-edition dish!

● Beginner Workshop (6 hours): Beginner-friendly introduction to coding and design.

Fee: $30 (includes Empire Code T-shirt)

TRAINING DETAILS

Available Dates:
– September school holidays (13 September 2025)
– Children’s Day (3 October 2025)
– Post PSLE/PSLE Marking Day School Break (13 & 15 October 2025)
– Year-end school Holidays (24 – 28 November 2025)

Workshop Details:
Full-day training sessions over (lunch provided):
– One day: Beginners (6 hours)
– Two days: Intermediate & Advanced (12 hours)
Time: 9:30am – 5:00pm

Workshop Schedule:
– 9:30am – 12:00pm: Minecraft coding workshop
– 12:00pm – 1:30pm: Minecraft sushi lunch or equivalent (Halal friendly)
– 1:30pm – 5:00pm: Afternoon coding & building session

Class Requirements:
– Participants are to bring their own laptops
– Laptop rental is only available at Empire Code centres in Novena & River Valley

    The Minecraft Championship costs $150 per child for a 1-day full-day training workshop and $300 per child for a 2-day full-day training workshop in Singapore. Lunch is included. Bundle packages are available for families who want ongoing training.

    No, coding experience is not required. Beginners are welcome, and our MOEregistered trainers guide kids step-by-step using Minecraft Education Edition.

    6. Is this competition recognised for DSA?
    Yes. Projects are designed to support Direct School Admission (DSA) applications in tech-related DSA tracks.
