Competition Theme 2026: MY LITTLE ADVENTURE
Create a fun, interactive, and imaginative ScratchJr story project that brings your child’s adventures to life – from trips to the zoo and magical playgrounds to family holidays and talking pets!
In partnership with Flying Cape and Crayola Creativity Week, children will:
– Create: Plan and design their very own digital story using ScratchJr, combining characters, backgrounds, and animations with crayons and coding blocks.
– Imagine: Build confidence and creativity as they express ideas, sequence stories, and problem-solve in a guided, age-appropriate environment led by MOE-registered trainers.
– Shine: Present their story during the live Show & Tell session and celebrate their achievements with medals, prizes, and certificates.
PRIZES
Every child will be recognised for their creativity, effort, and storytelling skills.
Winners will walk away with prizes worth up to $700:
– Exciting educational STEM prizes

ScratchJr Coding Competition 2026 in Singapore
1. What is ScratchJr Coding Competition 2026?
It’s a creativity and coding challenge for preschoolers aged 4 to 6, hosted by Empire Code with MOE-registered trainers.
In partnership with Crayola Creativity Week and Flying Cape, this year’s theme: My Little Adventure – invites children to turn their imagination into digital stories using ScratchJr, a beginner-friendly coding app designed for young creators.
2. Why should my child join the ScratchJr Coding Competition in Singapore?
This competition helps children develop creativity, confidence, and logical thinking through storytelling and coding. It’s the perfect first step into the world of technology where kids learn to plan stories, solve problems, and express ideas in a fun, guided environment that encourages both independence and imagination.
3. When and where will the ScratchJr Coding Competition 2026 be held?
The live competition takes place on Saturday, 7 February 2026 (9am–11am) at Empire Code River Valley.
Training sessions will run for 5 weeks from 3 January – 4 February 2026, every Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday, with both morning (10am – 12pm) and afternoon (1pm – 3pm) or (4 – 6pm) sessions available. Available at both Novena and River Valley centres.
4. How much does ScratchJr Coding Competition training cost in Singapore?
The ScratchJr Coding Competition training costs $300 per child for a 10-hour training program. Healthy mid-class snacks and a complimentary Crayola art kit worth $50 are included.
5. Does my child need coding experience?
No, coding experience is not required. Beginners are welcome, and our MOE-registered trainers guide kids
step-by-step using ScratchJr.
6. Is this competition useful for future DSA preparation?
Yes. Even though your child is still in preschool, this experience introduces creativity, innovation, and problem-solving – key skills valued later in DSA Innovation and STEM tracks. It builds a strong foundation in communication and digital literacy.
7. What can my child win?
