Annual Closure DatesYour Child’s Future Just Got A New Roadmap
At Empire AI, we have always believed that technology education should prepare children not just for today, but for the future they will grow into.
That future is changing fast.
For many years, coding education focused heavily on syntax – learning programming languages line by line, memorising commands, and writing code in highly structured ways.
But the way technology is built today is evolving.
With the rise of artificial intelligence, code can increasingly be created through natural language instructions.
This changes the role of coding, and it changes what children need to learn to stay relevant, confident, and capable in the world ahead.
That is why our curriculum is evolving too.
We are shifting from a model centred on traditional syntax-based coding to one that focuses more deeply on thinking, systems, creativity, and real-world application.
Our goal is to teach children the technology behind AI, how to solve problems with it, and how to build with confidence in an AI-driven future – not use it only.
Our Curriculum – What’s Changing & Why
🤖 Robotics
Core – Staying & Expanding
● Robotics stays front and centre – it builds cause-and-effect thinking that no app can replace.
● Demand for engineers who can work across physical and virtual systems is only growing.
● We’re enhancing this area with more AI-integrated robotics tools and products.
🧱 Block Programming
Refocused, Not Removed
● ScratchJr, Tynker, Scratch and Minecraft Education remain – they build the logical foundations young minds need.● Less emphasis on syntax itself; more focus on why things work the way they do.
● Block programming will be integrated with STEAM subjects – physics, math, art – the disciplines that will shape their future.
● New AI-based block programming tools are being introduced as part of our ongoing upgrade.
🎮 Game Development
In Transition
● The architecture and design thinking behind game development stays – it’s one of the best ways to teach systems thinking.
● The syntax-heavy components are being reworked to align with our AI-first approach.
● Incorporating entrepreneurship skills into game development, with a focus on how to monetise game creations.
● Students can continue with existing modules while the upgrade is underway – no interruption.
📱 App Development
In Transition
● The focus will shift to understanding how modern apps are created using AI, workflows, and real-world systems.
● For younger students, a new app development curriculum can now be rolled out – focusing on logic, creativity, and how apps work.
● For teens, we will move towards advanced AI-driven modules, including building apps with AI, APIs, and cloud integration.
● Students will continue with existing modules while the upgrade is underway, particularly while the App Inventor competition is ongoing, with no interruption.
🔌 IoT & Hardware
Staying, with AI Integration
● Hardware and electronics remain essential – they show children how technology works in the real world, not just on a screen.
● Arduino and Micro:bit continue to be core platforms, with progression into Raspberry Pi and more advanced modules.
● Programming for these platforms will increasingly incorporate AI-driven approaches.
🧠Traditional Syntax Coding
The Biggest Shift – Moving Away Completely
● We are moving away from traditional syntax-heavy curricula – Python, JavaScript – because the industry already has. Large tech companies have moved toward AI-assisted development at scale. Our new focus will include the following:
● Vibe coding – building with AI assistance in natural language.
● Running LLMs locally – understanding how to work with AI models directly.
● Connecting APIs – linking tools, data, and services intelligently.
● Cloud infrastructure – deploying real, working applications.
At Empire AI, we are committed to helping children go beyond coding as a technical skill and towards technology as a way of thinking, creating, and shaping the world around them.
We are not just preparing children to use technology. We are preparing them to build with it.
Whether your child has been with us for a week or for years, this evolution is for them. It is about making sure they are equipped not only for the world that exists today, but for the one that is rapidly taking shape.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us. We are grateful for your trust, and we are excited to build this next chapter together.
